Terms of Use for UrHypno

By creating an UrHypno account you agree to these terms. They're written to be read, not to be impressive.

What UrHypno is

UrHypno writes and voices personalised hypnosis sessions from a goal you describe. It is a relaxation and self-improvement tool for adults.

It is not medical treatment. UrHypno does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical or psychiatric condition, and it is not a substitute for professional care. If you're stopping something you use heavily, or you have a physical or mental health condition, speak to your doctor as well. In the UK your GP can refer you to free stop-smoking support, which works well alongside this.

We make no promise that any session will produce any particular result. Hypnosis works differently for different people, and for some people it doesn't work at all.

Using it safely

• Never listen while driving or operating machinery. Sessions are designed to relax you

deeply, and some are designed to send you to sleep.

• Listen somewhere you can be undisturbed and safely inattentive.
• If a session makes you feel unwell or distressed, stop listening.

Your account

You must be 18 or over to use UrHypno. You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for what happens under your account. Tell us at support@urdev.dev if you think someone else has access to it.

One account is for one person. Don't share it.

What you write, and what we make

What you type stays yours. Your goals, notes and edits belong to you.

The sessions generated for you are yours to listen to, for your own personal use. You may not sell, publish, broadcast or redistribute them, or present them as your own work.

You agree not to use UrHypno to create content that is unlawful, that targets someone other than yourself, or that is designed to harm anyone. Every goal and every script is checked automatically before it's voiced, and we may refuse to generate a session. Automated checks aren't perfect; if something gets through that shouldn't have, tell us.

Paying

Quit Programme — a one-off purchase. It includes a number of personalised sessions, stated at the point of purchase. Nothing renews.

UrHypno Plus — an auto-renewable subscription, currently £7.99 per month or £59.99 per year, including a set number of new sessions each month. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. It renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of that period. You can manage or cancel it in your Apple ID account settings.

All purchases are handled by Apple. We never see your payment details. Refunds are Apple's to give — request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. Tell us what went wrong anyway, because we'd rather fix it.

Prices can change. A change never affects a purchase you have already made.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time from Settings, which removes your account, your sessions and your audio permanently and immediately. Deleting your account does not by itself cancel an Apple subscription — do that in your Apple ID settings.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that is being used to harm someone. If we do that to you and you think we've got it wrong, email us.

The boring but necessary part

UrHypno is provided "as is". We work to keep it available and working, but we can't promise it will never be interrupted, and we depend on services we don't control (Apple, our hosting and AI providers).

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms removes your statutory rights as a consumer, and nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Changes

If we change these terms we'll update the date at the top, and tell you in the app before anything material takes effect.

Law, and how to reach us

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
